Caesar Code a.k.a Focus has been working with Sky Sound since the inception back in 1999. He was one of the label’s first artists. Sky actually met Code while working with another artist on an album release. Code made a cameo on a song on that album. Since then, Sky and Code have worked and collaborated on concepts for songs and videos. In 2001, Code and Sky formulated an idea to make an album. The basic impression of the album was created, but at that time, neither Code nor Sky could focus entirely on the project. Sky was working on developing a studio in Columbus, Ohio. He was also splitting his time between teaming up with Bill Butler on various roller skating ventures and cultivating and expanding S.B.’s musical career. When he wasn’t producing for S.B. or Code, he was in the studio making music for himself.
While Sky was working on the music and skating scenes in Columbus, Code made the decision to move to Orlando, Florida. When he got to Florida, he attended Full Sail, a well-known music school in the area. He wanted to hone and sharpen his writing skills. Although he was living a considerable distance away from Columbus, he and Sky stayed in touch. He worked as a part time writer and producer for Sky, making music for other artists. Code wasn’t satisfied with making music for other artists while in Florida. He felt an overwhelming sense of urgency. He and Sky had been talking about this album idea for years, and it was time to make it real. It was this sense of urgency that forced Code to make the trek back to Ohio.
Since the beginning of the year, Code and Sky have been working to make that idea a reality. They have been putting in serious studio time to make this album happen. However, they have had to be exceptionally creative in this collaboration. See, Sky isn’t in Columbus any more. The city was becoming unreceptive to independent artists and producers. He made the decision to move. Sky Sound Entertainment moved to Dallas at the end of March this year. Code is still in Columbus. Fortunately, he was able to pin Sky down to record two songs before the big move. Even though Sky is trying to get Sky Sound Entertainment off the ground in the Lone Star State and he just launched a new website, Sky and Code have contractually agreed to make this project happen once and for all.
In Sky’s words, “I’ve put this project off long enough. Now, it’s time to be focused. Code is an exceptional writer and has taught me a lot about writing and developing artists. It’s his time.”
Code says that his album is “the recognition of one’s journey, a reflection of ups and downs. It’s about good memories, hard lessons and touching base on major events. It’s about enjoying where you are while you get to where you’re going, and understanding who you are and what’s going on around you… All while having a blast.”
The project is currently in progress, and Sky Sound will continue to post new developments as the album evolves. This project has innovative sounds and creative lyrical concepts. Keep an eye out!

The studio’s vision is to be a studio where everyone is welcome. A public studio where you don’t have to be in the know or in a select exclusive group to work in there. The studio will offer music recording, practice/dance studios, and a video studio with a editing suite.

Matthew Sky Osborne just recorded a new song “Ignite My Past”. The song deals with Sky trying to balance his professional life and personal life. With the high goals he has set for himself with Sky Sound, it has required a lot of time, travel, and sacrifice and has left him alone and feeling hopeless about his personal life and his relationship with his girlfriend Kim. They are now at a crossroad and must figure out how can they continue to love each other in this environment where Sky always puts his goals first.

The music video will convey just that. Sky & Kim enjoying each other’s time and company but still facing the harsh reality of tomorrow. We will see Sky spending time with Kim, and then hitting the road to work as Sky leaves the choice up to her about their future.

We will debut the video at the release party scheduled for Sunday Night October 18th, 2009 at Bristol in the Short North located at 132 E. 5th Ave. Columbus Ohio. Doors open at 9:00pm, video debuts at 10:30pm, party ends at Midnight. Everyone is welcome to attend. Guys are $10 and ladies are $5. You can also buy tickets in advance via email.
